Ubiscale is a French company founded in 2015 and based in Rennes. On the occasion of CES 2021, she presented her Feelloo medallion in the United States.
Compact and light, the Feelloo connected tag can be used to track the movements and activities of cats.
Learn more about the activity of domestic cats
Cat activity collars have been around for several years and use a GPS sensor and a cellular modem to send the cat’s location. These necklaces operate through a monthly subscription system.
Ubiscale innovates by offering a connected collar without subscription. He connects to the home’s Wi-Fi to send his information. The cat owner can view the distance the cat has traveled, how long it has been active and how long it has slept.
In addition, the French company is working in collaboration with veterinarians to add new features in order to detect possible health problems of the cat.
A location beyond a perimeter of 200 meters
If the cat is located within a radius of 200 meters, in this case Feelloo uses the home Wi-Fi to send its data. If it is beyond, then the LoRA network is activated to receive its location. It will take 9.90 euros to use this network for 1 month.
Good to know: the collar lasts for 30 days, which avoids having to remove it too often from the cat’s neck to charge it.
Feelloo will be available in the spring in France for 99 euros. To be taken into account in the price: the manufacture of the electronic card, the plastic parts and the assembly are made in France.
Ubiscale then aims to extend sales to other European markets as well as to the United States.
