An act synonymous with a great proof of love and that will allow a mother and her son not to be separated.
When a cat and her 8 kittens are dropped off at the Nevada SPCA Animal Shelter in Las Vegas, USA, Stacey doesn’t hesitate for a second to look after them. Unfortunately, the condition of one of the kittens quickly begins to deteriorate and the vet announces the sad news: Bart, the kitten, is far too sick. He will not be able to survive.
A great loss
The situation is such that the kitten must finally be euthanized because its infection is too important, and its throat is distorted. The situation cannot go on for the little furball.
After being euthanized, the kitten is then cremated.
The cat protects her cub
Stacey then brings the ashes of little Bart home, in an urn. Immediately, to everyone’s surprise, the mother cat curls up against the urn which contains her kitten’s ashes. A protective habit that lasts for the days that follow.
A few days later, an adoption request is made for Ophélie, the mother cat. Delighted, Stacey asks the future family if they would agree to take the urn containing Bart’s ashes, so that mother and son are never separated.
A request obviously accepted.
