In this hospital, we look after wild animals, sick or injured, like this fox, a paste of which was crushed by a hunter’s trap. Marie-Pierre Puech is a veterinarian. And during that time, on her land in Laroque, she takes care of wild animals before releasing them into the wild here, in the Cévennes. “I’ve been in this hospital for 13, 14 years, but I’ve been working in prevention for more than 40 years. In risk prevention, awareness, training, education with farmers and with people“, she explains.
Since 2008, with her volunteers and veterinary trainees, Marie-Pierre has been treating up to 3,400 animals per year. For Marie-Pierre, this place is also a training and transmission center for young veterinarians. It takes in up to 18 per year.
