On the surface, everything seems to have stopped. At the Beauval zoo (Loir-et-Cher), closed to the public for almost four months, no one to photograph the giant panda, emblem of the park. Behind the scenes, 250 healers, gardeners and veterinarians have never stopped their work. Despite the zoo’s closure, nothing needs to change for the animals. “Whether there are people or not, they are animals, they must eat. It remains the basis of our daily life. And we must avoid disturbing them as much as possible.the ”, explains a caregiver.
Keeping the same time at exactly the same snack helps prepare the animals for a possible reopening of the animal park. Some new arrivals, like two small Persian panthers, will never have known the park open to the public. While waiting to be in the limelight again, the stars of the park are enjoying the zoo to themselves.
