Woman saves pregnant cat
When a big-hearted woman meets a stray tabby cat living in the streets of Brooklyn, she decides to do everything to give him the best of lives.
The handsome tabby tom had been roaming the streets of Brooklyn, New York for quite some time. Even though no one knew how he got into this situation, it was clear that he had no one to take care of him.
At least until he caught the attention of Gissell, a volunteer, who would change the cat’s life forever. After seeing the cat many times while walking around, she was determined to do something to help him get off the street.
A rescue mission
When she got to where she often met the cat, Gissell saw the tomcat curled up in front of a homeless shelter. She called the cat and, to her surprise, he immediately woke up to meet her, while being very sympathetic.
Quickly, Gissell noticed that the cat had a big belly and she suspected that it was a female about to give birth to her young.
A happy ending
Thanks to a trap, Gissell was able to capture the cat in order to bring her to safety. But once home, she was shocked to find that it was not a female, but a big badly castrated!
Gissell contacted a local rescue group, Little Wanderers NYC, and Melina Nastazia, a foster volunteer, offered to take over the cat.
The latter quickly noticed that the cat was infested with fleas and mites. So she gave him treatment to get rid of it.
Now safe in his host family, Crookshank, it’s his new name, shows himself every day very grateful to have the chance to live this new life, surrounded by love.
