Upon discovering that their beloved cat was in danger, a couple did not hesitate to step in to help their cat, surrounded by three coyotes. But the tomcat himself had a good dose of courage!
In the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, a cat named Max can be proud of having stood up to three coyotes that came to ambush him in the backyard of his house.
A scene that took place in January 2020. While Maya Gurrin and her husband were watching a movie, they thought they saw the shadow of a tail outside as reported by Maya Gurrin at CBS Los Angeles. The couple went out to check and that’s when they discovered, horrified, their cat Max, surrounded by a trio of coyotes.
His mistress explains that she still managed to hunt wild animals. Back inside, she went to view the security footage, and discovered that the confrontation between Max and the coyotes had gone on for a while before his intervention. “I couldn’t believe it” she confesses, adding: “We are still shocked.”
“He’s always been crazy”
The video shows Max standing in front of his three attackers. Courageous, the feline does not try to run away, on the contrary, it pounces on them. A reaction that surprised the coyotes to the point of making them retreat themselves. “He has always been crazy. If this were to happen to a cat, it was him”, quips his mistress.
Aware of the bravery of his cat, his owners have nevertheless taken steps to prevent the coyotes from returning to take their revenge. Thus, from now on, Max will spend most of his days inside the house.
