She wants to help a kitten in distress
Without the intervention of this passer-by, the little kitten would probably not have had the same luck in life!
In mid-March, a passerby spotted a tiny red kitten behind a pile of rocks, near a stream. The kitten was very scared and did not want to come out of its hiding place between the rocks.
She calls for help on Facebook
The lady had the idea of posting a small photo of the kitten in the rocks on the Facebook walls of local associations, indicating the location.
A veterinary nurse volunteering for Best Friends Felines, a cat and kitten shelter in Brisbane, saw the message and immediately ran to rescue the little kitten.
After a long time, she finally managed to get the kitten out of the rocks and bring it to safety. The poor tomcat was covered in fleas and weighed only 225 grams, for about 6 weeks. He was so thin he was less than half the size of a kitten his age.
Other members of the shelter continued to search for other kittens that night and the next day, but could not locate any possible siblings of the kitten.
A very valiant little kitten
Volunteers named the kitten Mufasa and placed him in a loving foster home, where he receives 24 hour care. Mufasa even accompanies his foster mom to work at Best Friends Felines!
In one week, the little red kitten gained about 100 grams. Although he is still very small, he shows an incredible fighting spirit and has the heart of a lion.
Mufasa, who was terrified of people when he was found, now enjoys the company of humans very much. When he comes to work with his foster mother, he loves to be carried in a very cozy baby sling.
Thanks to this post on Facebook, Mufasa was able to be saved and have a new start in life!
Everything is fine !
